Crochet: MOTORSPORT

With the hit song playing on the airwaves, there was nothing left to do but get creative. Every time you turned on the radio you would hear the song. The music playing in the background of a commercial, on one station after the other. Then you're causally scrolling Instagram and all you see is boutique after boutique posting the infamous black and white checkered square pattern. So I thought to myself why not get creative. 

For those of us who crochet, changing colors can be fun but can also be a bit tedious. There's nothing worse then being in the middle of a crochet project and your yarn gets TANGLED up because of the back and forth color changes. Color changing is something I taught myself how to do while doing crochet graphghans. It will have you questioning your ability to crochet and wonder if all of it is worth it. TRUST ME its worth it. I have grown to love the back and forth, yarn over, tangled up mess that comes with color changing. I feel like if you can color change you can do anything. That is the basis of crochet graphghan. But I will get into all of that at a later time. Back to MOTORSPORT.

Once again the ideas came to me while being on social media and seeing the different why the pattern was being used. I recently began my journey with designing swimsuits. So I put myself to the test. The motorsport swimsuit was the first swimsuit I ever made in its complexity. I have used the checkered pattern before as a graphghan and wondered to myself " What would it look like in swimsuit form? " I believe it came out perfect.

The short set was a breeze. I also recently began creating shorts with the help of YOUTUBE and my fellow crochet group on FACEBOOK SunRaee Sun Clan. I was intimidated by making clothes for the longest time. But the help I received I was able to come with the MOTORSPORT SHORT SET. Isn't it a beauty?? I absolutely LOVVVVEEEEEEDDDD creating it. I will admit it was extremely painful on the hands, my hands were on FIRE !!! I would totally do it all over again !! Its amazing to me what can be done with yarn. Both items were made with Red Heart Super Saver. I would recommend Cotton yarn for the swimsuit, but overall both pieces came out amazing.

If I have the time I will try to recreate a pattern for the shorts.

Hot on the Hook

Hello everyone. Today on what's H.O.T.H is a crochet afghan. I actually have several baby afghans that I alternate on to get them completed in a timely manner. Each afghan will be place on my Etsy site.

Things with LoveTangled have been slowing down but I'm almost positive that I will be getting back to the grind of things to present you guys with amazing work.

I have new ideas and I'm going to take the time that I have set aside to the them to guys as soon as possible.

W.I.P Wednesday Inspiration Post

Hello Lovelies,  

 Sorry for the lack of posts. There is no excuse of reason, but I come to you today with a new idea of what I can do for more posts being made.
 I do a lot of research on crocheting and knitting in order to perfect my craft. Recently, I've decided to share my knowledge of I find to you in what I call W.I.P ( Wednesday Inspiration Posts). These post will range from what tools need to be used, a tutorial here and there,  and inspiration on other crochet artist projects. I know we in the crochet world use W.I.P for work in progress,  so you may see a few post from myself with my W.I.P. The reason for these posts are to get me to post more often and use the platforms that are out there to get LoveTangled. I hope to find other ways to better LoveTangled, but for now im taking one step at a time and hopegully I can finally get this business where I want and would like it to be. xoMia

Multicolored Chevron Afghan

It has been awhile but I am still crocheting. I never find the time to update this like I should and I know I always say I will update but I just simply forget. LoveTangled is becoming recognized and I have had a lot of business, but things have started to slow down. That doesn't mean I have stopped crocheting. Crochet Daily: Baby Booties

I've posted baby booties before on this blog. But the booties I'm posting today are very special to me. The new addition coming to the family is my little cousin Makayla. Although she is not yet, I was ask to make her some baby booties.

Crochet Daily: Braided headband, Rippled scarf, and Hello Kitty Scarf

So I have decided that Im going to do something like an online magazine/journal. It will be titled Crochet Daily and will represent LoveTangled. LoveTangled is my baby and im slowing but surely thinking of ways to get her recognized in the world. I will basically post pictures of things I make during the day, patterns that Im trying so hard to learn how to write or pictures of my daily inspiration. Granted it might not be everyday but I will certainly make time to post of my inspiration, the things that give me hope that LoveTangled can get far. 

First up we have the Braided Headband. This headband came to me as inspiration for a combination of headband patterns that i saw while searching the web for daily patterns. I really like how it came out, although I do have to do some tweaking ( add a stitch, subtract a stitch) Im very proud of the outcome. Take a look at it below. :)

Next up is the Rippled Scarf. The rippled scarf was from daily inspiration that i just had to try. I tried it. I Love it. I will definitely make more of these.

Last but not least is the Hello Kitty scarf. Yayyy This scarf was made back in May, sitting here waiting for someone to purchase. Unfortunately, she has not been purchased. I put some tassels on her and she is finally ready to go to whom ever wants her. And I would like to mention that this is made by Tunisian Crochet. :)

Cheetah Print blanket pattern

Hey guys. I know its been awhile. Yes i'm still working on LoveTangled. It has been a struggle because i'm not really sure where it will go. I don't want to fail, and I don't want to give up on her. But that's another blog for another day. Today i'm here to tell you about a blanket that I have been working on since the beginning of the year. This blanket was a struggle at first because i couldn't find the perfect cheetah chart to work with. I then discovered Raverly and found this KNITTED WRISTLET pattern that I converted to crochet. 

Pattern: Cheetah Print Blanket yarn: Red Super Saver (black & Pink)

Hook size: J

Chain: 121 Follow the chart to achieve the pattern

 Each square on the chart equals to TWO double crochets Once it was complete I crab stitched around and thats it. :)
